Las Lomitas Elementary School
Menlo Park
Working with Callander Associates Landscape Architecture on this fun school playground, we had lots of room for creativity. This playground evokes the nature theme to the highest level. The playground has some wonderful climbing challenges both on the decks and on the ground. We incorporated UPC rocks linked with ropes to the structure to create an action packed play experience. The clients also wanted a custom UPC lion head to be incorporated into the play area. Working with the UPC custom team, a lion head was created so kids can climb on top and crawl through its mouth. The area also has several free standing play panels for imaginative play and a sandbox with Dino bones to dig up. The structure also includes an Alex’s Lemonade stand in which Miracle Recreation donates $100 dollars to children’s cancer research.
