Sunnydale Hope SF is a master-planned project that will transform the existing Sunnydale and Velasco public housing sites into a new mixed-income development with affordable housing, parks and open space and community space. The master developers are Related California and Mercy Housing California, which in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development and the San Francisco Housing Authority, were selected to partner with residents to transform Sunnydale into an inclusive, equitable, and mixed-income community.
This lovely little park in the middle of Block 6 is a perfect mix of fun and whimsy. It has something for both 2-5 and 5-12 age groups. Elephant Play's Small Sky Shack is a fun little playhouse with whimsical elements. Smaller residents of the community will have fun playing pretend in this playstructure. The Elephant Play Large Sphere is made for older kids and provides lots of ways to climb, explore and work together thru play.
