About Us


Kit Steven – President, Founder, Sales Account Manager – East Bay Region

Kit Steven, President of Miracle Playsystems, believes an understanding of every facet of the business helps to develop long-standing relationships with customers. Kit’s background in construction, where he got his start in this industry, and his hands on approach mean he is involved in all aspects of the business from participating in community builds right into design, sales and customer service.

With a business degree from the University of Southern California (USC) Kit has built one of the most exciting and fun playground companies to work with. In his down time, he and his wife, Megan, are the parents of two children, Henry and Lilly, and they enjoy hiking, biking, traveling and giving back to their community.

Tracey Lydon – Principal & Director of Operations

Tracey is co-owner and our Director of Operations, responsible for overseeing our design and construction services. She brings more than 15 years of design and project management experience to the Miracle Playsystems team. She has successfully completed many park and school projects, working with Miracle Playsystems and through her past positions with landscape architecture and planning firms and the City of San Francisco.

Prior to her design career, she worked as an elementary school science teacher. Her passion for playground design is enriched by her love for teaching and her background makes her uniquely qualified to assess site issues and to provide unique design solutions that are not only visually stunning but possess an understanding of how children play. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, going to Oakland A’s games and tailgating.


Tammie Ward – Sales Account Manager – Central Coast

Tammie’s professional background includes over 18 years of account management experience in the wine industry, where she provided outstanding customer service to her clients. Enjoying the outdoors and adventure seeking has always been her passion and she is delighted her work for Miracle Playsystems helps kids experience those same joys. A Central Coast native, Tammie is an avid hiker and cyclist. She is a graduate of California State University, San Marcos where she received her degree in Social Science.

Jean Tyan–Sales Account Manager – SF Peninsula

Jean has a passion for promoting youth development through active learning and play as part of their school day or in their community. Jean joined the Miracle Playsystems team with over 9 years of experience in school partnership as program director working with Bay Area elementary schools for the provision of music education services. She provided a high-touch service to hundreds of schools throughout the year. Prior to that Jean worked in a number of technology companies in product management, business development, and international market development. When not on the job, Jean enjoys recreating outdoors and hiking with her Siberian Husky.

Karl Maniglia- Sales Account Manager – Sacramento Region

Karl comes to Miracle with an enthusiastic “can do” attitude. Prior to joining the Miracle team, Karl was the Director at a youth sports and athlete development company. As a former professional volleyball player, Karl centered his focus on the development of volleyball players that want to begin the college recruiting process in an effort to take their abilities to the next level. Karl also spent over 15 years in the medical/pharmaceutical industry and banking managing portfolio based clientele across the country. Karl’s list of hobbies is long and diverse, but he spends most of his personal time on his mountain bike chasing his true passion while competing in multi-sport adventure racing. Karl is truly at home in the dirt getting lost with a map and compass in the middle of nowhere and tending his vegetable garden. Married for over 20 wonderful years to his wife Vicky, Karl resides in El Dorado Hills and is the Father of two fantastic children: Hailey whom plays volleyball for Nevada and Kolby whom is an aspiring musician.

Kelly O’Keefe – Sales Account Manager – North Bay/ North Coast

Kelly comes to the Miracle team having 20 plus years of experience in the site amenities, outdoor athletic equipment and playground industry with David F. O’Keefe Company. She is thrilled to have joined forces with Miracle Playsystems to continue selling Wabash Valley Site Amenities as well as the Miracle family of products.  Kelly maintains a drawing studio practice in her free time working primarily in charcoal and graphite. She also tries to keep her vegetable garden alive and productive despite the foggy environment of the North Berkeley Hills.

Matt Durkin–Sales Account Manager – Central Valley

Matt’s strong customer service background makes him a terrific addition to the Miracle team and allows our clients to continue to get the service and support they’ve come to expect when working with Miracle. Before joining our team, Matt worked in Sales as a Key Account Manager for a notable Fresno based medical equipment company servicing key clients and accounts through the United States. In his free time, Matt enjoys outdoor activities such as recreational team sports, hiking, and camping. You might even bump into Matt on the weekend with his young son, playing on one of our Miracle playgrounds, at swim class or at gym class together.

Kristine Baguiao-Garcia – Inside Sales Account Manager

Before joining Miracle, Kristine had over 10 years of experience in sales support and account management, most recently in the ethics & compliance industry. As an Inside Sales Account Manager, she hopes to bring the same high level of customer service to both Miracle’s sales reps and our clients.  In her free time, Kristine enjoys running, reading, taking black & white photography, and spending quality time running after her young son. She’s looking forward to the day when he is old enough to play on a Miracle playground!

Nicole Nowak – Inside Sales Account Manager

A passionate and dedicated team player, Nicole comes to the Miracle team with 10+ years of experience in client services. With a BFA in Interior Design, from the Art Institute of Seattle, Nicole spent the first part of her professional career as a Space Planner for Nordstrom and as an Event Coordinator for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. With a background in design she translated her project management skills over to the fast paced world of advertising where she had the opportunity to work on a number of big name accounts such as: Sling TV, Dropcam and Carrie Underwood. As an Account Manager she acted as the “conscience” for her client’s brands, and while working with several boutique agencies, Nicole found herself playing roles in both Account and Project Management as well as Brand Strategy and Production. Utilizing a multidisciplinary, holistic approach, she helped bridge the gap between the client/agency dynamic; bringing value and trust to the relationship, while ensuring stronger team collaboration which led to both agency and client success.  Always a child at heart, in her spare time, Nicole enjoys exploring everything California has to offer. From rock climbing and backpacking to scuba diving and aerial arts. If she can climb on it, hang from it, or spin on it, she’s up for the challenge.

Kathy Moschetti – Office Manager – Order Processing

Kathy has been handling accounts at Miracle Playsystems for more than 10 years, processing quotes, orders and accounts receivable and has become an expert in parts to help you with your long term maintenance needs. Kathy enjoys decorating the office for the holidays, hiking, and road trips to the beach.

Dana Thomas – Lead Designer

Dana Thomas received Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2002 and is a certified playground safety inspector. She brings over 10 years of Landscape Architectural design to Miracle. Past projects include large city park design, urban streetscapes and university campus redesign. The transition to designing play structures and the play environment comes naturally to Dana and she is able to understand all of the site constraints as well as her ability to transform conceptual design ideas into creative and artful built forms.

Leslie Voss-Designer

Leslie was excited to join the team of Miracle PlaySystems in tandem with its acquisition of the Central Coast region. She came to know playgrounds from an adult’s perspective through the last 13 years of bidding, designing, overseeing construction and providing customer support. Leslie believes that the one-on-one relationship with each customer is the most important – and most enjoyable facet of the business side of play. Leslie received her undergraduate studies at Westmont College, majoring in biology with a minor in art and architecture. Although she spent several years in management consulting with orthodontic practices in the US, Europe and Asia, her background in both physiology and architecture drew her to apply those combined sciences to the playground industry. In her spare time, Leslie is an avid church and community volunteer, and enjoys the challenge of raising Rhodesian Ridgebacks, one at a time.

Shana Friesen – Marketing Coordinator

Shana brings her marketing expertise to Miracle after working as a marketing assistant at two notable Sacramento area Landscape Architecture firms. After taking a few years off to raise her two daughters, she comes to Miracle ready for a new beginning and hoping to bring her marketing expertise to help promote Miracle in new exciting ways!  Raising two little girls keeps Shana on her toes. She is a leader for both of her daughter’s Girl Scout troops, is an active participant in the school’s PTC, and volunteers in their classrooms regularly. During her down time, she likes to go camping and head to the lake to go boating.

Annie Loquiao- Administrative Support Technician

Annie has been in the administrative/customer service field for over 15 years with a strong emphasis on customer service. Annie enjoys music, baking and spending time with her family.

Larry Golfo- Accounting

Larry handles the accounting functions at MPI. Larry brings with him more than 20 years of Accounting and Finance management experience. Prior to joining MPI, Larry managed operations of a publicly traded technology company in the Silicon Valley. Larry is married to Tess and has 3 daughters. The Golfo family’s passion for sports and music keep them busy. Larry’s daughters have been featured regularly in bay area newspapers and television sports news.

Felix Vasquez – Maintenance Director

Felix Vasquez, director of our Maintenance division at Miracle Playsystems, is a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) and has over 25 years of experience as a lead maintenance worker with City of Fairfield. With his two and a half decades working with playground equipment he brings a wealth of knowledge and know-how to effectively maintain and keep play spaces safe and compliant.
